Saturday April 12th 2008 - Recap

Located at : Cook Convention Center (map)

How do you top a record kick-off show in Detroit? A record breaking show in Memphis! Over 15,000 attendees crammed into the Cook Convention Center to enjoy the top hip hop talent and some of the nation's hottest custom cars and exhibits.

The show's main attraction are the one of a kind custom cars you can only find at the DUB show, and the Memphis stop was no exception - ranging from small sport compacts to over $6 Million worth of customized luxury and exotic rides! Celebrity cars on display included those from the Memphis home teams, as well as Dewayne Robertson of the NY Jets, Chucky Atkins from the Denver Nuggets, Stromile Swift of the NJ Nets, and many others.

The show's sponsors went all out with huge interactive displays including Monster's expansive Lounge area where you could sample Monster beverages. XBOX 360's gaming arcade had the latest titles to demo on their HD gaming terminals. MLB Authentic Collection brought out the MLB Experience where you could test your pitching skills and play the hottest MLB video games. Bud Light's display featured their interactive DUB cover photography and their beautiful BUD Light models! Pirelli hosted many celebrity signing sessions, and the TIS & Dropstars wheels displays featured the latest wheel models on some amazing tricked out machines. The D20 wheels display featured the latest wheel collection exclusively available through GM dealerships.

The main stage hit hard, with back to back talent that included Nick Cannon hosting the action as local and worldwide talent such as Shawty Lo, Kia Shine, Willy Northpole, Yo Gotti, Grafiti Boys, President AC, and Wiz Khalifa all had amazing performances. All of the concert performers spent hours with their fans signing autographs at the sponsor displays.

Many thanks to those that are making the 2008 DUB shows possible. The tour is brought to you by Monster Energy, Rockstar Games' Midnight Club Los Angeles, Pirelli Tires, MySpace, and is presented by BUD Light. The tour is also sponsored by BP, Dropstars, D20 Wheels, TIS, Pepsi, Xbox 360, MLB Authentic Collection, ClubPlanet.com, Alpine, and Alcantara.

Next on schedule is Miami, FL this coming Saturday April 19th at the Miami Beach Convention Center from 3-9 pm. Tickets are only $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door.
