Saturday June 20, 20094pm - 9pmLocated at : Charlotte Convention Center (map)Charlotte, NC was talking about its Monster Energy 2009 DUB Show Tour stop way before we even landed. Once all the DUB staff and crew landed in the city, buzz on the show was brewing, as airport staff was asking us questions about the Saturday, June 20 show. Held at the Charlotte Convention Center, every inch of the venue was jam-packed with show goers, displays, cars and bikes. Everywhere you turned had something happening! The Charlotte stop featured hundreds of customized cars, bikes, lowriders, interactive booths and displays, as well as a star-studded concert stage featuring the likes of Small World, Majah, 2 Pistols, Playaz Circle and Ice Cube, who killed it on stage with special guest WC! Everyone rushed the stage to hear Cube perform hits of his latest album and, of course, the classics we’ve all memorized by heart. Charlotte car culture just seems to be getting better and better every year we stop by! NASCAR did a great job with their interactive both that featured real race cars used in many of its races. Dirty South represented with a fleet of wild customs, and Garwood Cycles had a sick booth filled with crazy bikes that blew everybody’s minds! Killer Kreations also brought out some of their finest custom bikes all the way down from Philly. The various gaming booths like the Xbox 360 Gaming Arcade and the 2K Sports’ booth were a crowd hit since they were stocked up with tons of their latest titles. The Monster Energy Lounge saw mad traffic as tons of visitors took some time to chill and enjoy their energy drinks, while hanging with the Kawasaki Street Bike Team including Rickey Gadson, Jason Britton, Kane 'Insane' Friesen, and the Monster Girls! The show was definitely the highlight of everyone’s weekend since even the Starbucks girls at the airport were giving us props on such a great show as the whole DUB crew got ready to fly back home. Charlotee showed a lot of love and we’d like to thank all our sponsors and fans that came out to the show! Special thanks to all of our sponsors for making the 2009 Tour possible: Monster Energy, Rockstar Games’ Midnight Club Los Angeles, Pirelli Tires, Tag, Xbox 360, NASCAR, 2K Sports, Mobil 1, Kawasaki, TIS, Dropstars and D20 and Pioneer.
