January 15 - 17, 2010

Located at: Cobo Arena (map)

It's a new year and with it comes another highly anticipated DUB Show Tour! Wasting no time, we started the tour on January 16 - 17 in Detroit. Notably for the first time, we partnered up with the most prestigious auto show in the world, The North American International Auto Show, to host the kick off DUB Show in the Cobo Arena during the opening weekend of the Auto Show. Over 58,000 auto show goers rushed through the doors of the arena to check out all of the amazing custom rides and displays that make up every DUB event.

The main vehicular attraction of the show had to be the debut of the DUB Edition Ford Mustang V6 by Roush which will go on sale this year and features an impressive package that includes a full body kit, hood scoop, exhaust, suspension, and much more. It promises to be surprisingly affordable so look no further than dubmag.net for more info once it's available.

Also making it's world debut was Nelly's DUB Edition Mustang GT 5.0. It really has to be seen to be appreciated, everything from the wide-body work, body kit by Street Scene, TIS Modular Wheels, black gloss paint with flat black striping, the menacing red glow of the custom Angel Eyes headlamps, PIrelli TIres, Eibach Springs, Borla Exhaust, and the powerful yet tasteful JL Audio system, make it one of the best DUB Editions we've ever made. Look for the car to continue to be featuring throughout the entire tour and on the album art for Nelly's forthcoming release.

Ford made a huge splash at the show with over a dozen special Taurus and Mustang models customized by such respected builders as Mobsteel, Tommy Z, Roush, Classic Design Concepts and, of course, DUB Edition.

Also on display was the TapouT custom bike which was made in tribute to the late Charles 'Mask' Lewis.

The DUB Show is always a celebrity magnet and this was no exception with the likes of Twista, Erik Estrada, Trick Trick, Kdeezy and B-Ball players Janas Jereb and Jason Maxiell from the Pistons all making their way through the show to see what's hot for 2010, and sign autographs.

We've always billed the DUB Show as more than just a car show, and what helps make it the festival that it's become are the many interactive and exciting sponsor displays. Detroit's attendees were treated to free samples of the latest Monster drinks, including our very own DUB Edition energy drink, at the Monster Energy lounge. Video gaming is yet another way to enjoy the show with latest XBox 360 titles in the XBox gaming arcade and the latest 2K Sports titles in the 2K Sports NBA2K display. For the mobile warriors, Metro PCS and Verizon Wireless had the their 2010 line-up of phones to sample. TIS and Dropstars Wheels brought out what could be the hottest lineup of new rims on the market all on display in multiple color and finish schemes. Mobil 1 was busy educating show goers on the benefits of their synthetic oils, and Pirelli tires display was buzzing with the fantastic '64 Lincoln convertible on display there.

As always many thanks go out to everyone who made it out to our Detroit show, and to the sponsors for making the 2010 Tour possible. The Detroit show was brought to you by Monster Energy, Ford, Pirelli Tires, XBox 360, Wheel Pros, TIS Wheels, Dropstars Wheels, Metro PCS, Mobil 1, and 2K Sports NBA 2K10.
